The Republic Of Andromeda
Vision
Andromeda is the dream of every astronaut and physicist to be, thanks to our marvellous space technologies. But entrepreneurs or engineers also dream of our country. We are already pioneers in recycling but we want to become the best regarding ecology. Living in harmony with nature is what we want. The less pollution, the better! Last but not least we want to end the threats and stabilize our political situation. We want Andromeda to become a place where everything is possible, a fantastic world of the newest technologies, a place where we work hard for the things we want to achieve, a home where we care for one another and show solidarity and respect. Let our republic be an-outer-space type of thing.
DNA
Our country’s name is The Republic of Andromeda. Our inhabitants are called Andromedeans and we use the currency Alphas. We are a proud people and love to sing our national anthem ‘Tango In Space’. We are well known for our motto: “We are bigger-than-an-outer-space type of thing”. We have a woman as president, not always that obvious and we only elect female presidents, because we believe women are more capable to lead a country in an appropriate way. However men and women are equally represented in our government.

Our country consists of many islands: a big one where our capital is based and a lot of small ones surrounding it. Our territory is surrounded by a big baby blue bubble, you can compare it with a magic force field. This field protects us from everything that could be a potential threat to damage our country, for example: air pollution and dangerous rays from the outside.
We believe in the future. We want to make our space centre and technologies even better and bigger. So our ambitions are driven by a strong spirit to be innovative and also positive. We do not just make it, we want to do it so that it has a positive result in the future. This also counts for our ecological systems. From that point of view we don’t only look at the future, but we want to make sure that we respect our land here and now. Next we have solidarity and a more indulgent way of living. This is important because it makes sure that we can and will give others a chance. It gives an opportunity to work together in a different way. On the other hand we also value individualism. Our people care for each other but they also work hard for everything they have. These seem to be like opposites but in fact they make fore a wonderful combination.

Tourism is important for us. It brings new people to our island and it is of great importance for our economy. It is also a way to show the world the progress we made regarding space technology. And of course also our beautiful islands on which you can explore nature, culture, food and so on or relax on the beach or take a boat for sightseeing. We want everybody to feel at home and we will welcome you with open arms.
